Mount Gould Hospital

University Hospitals Plymouth have wards for general rehabilitation, stroke rehabilitation and discharge assessment at Mount Gould Hospital.

Kingfisher and Skylark wards

Our Kingfisher and Skylark wards are for people who need assessment, treatment or rehabilitation, but who do not need to be in an acute hospital. They may have had a stay in an acute hospital, but no longer need to be there, or they may be admitted from where they live.

Stroke rehabilitation unit

Our Stroke Rehabilitation Unit is based within Skylark ward and is dedicated to the rehabilitation of stroke survivors.

Discharge Assessment Unit - Saltram and Lopes wards

Our Discharge Assessment Unit provides holistic and comprehensive discharge assessments and reablement for those with complex needs so we can give every patient the opportunity to return to independence following a period of acute ill health and hospitalisation and promote home as the preferred discharge destination.

Saltram and Lopes wards opened on 3 April 2023 initially with 10 beds, and now have full capacity of 40 beds.

Entrance to the discharge assessment unit, Saltram and Lopes wards. There are white double doors with a blue sign above it.
