Patients and Carers
The Major Trauma Centre Coordinators (MTCC) are a small team of skilled Registered Nurses and Allied Health Professionals from a variety of backgrounds. With this establishment we cover and deliver a 7 day service. Our working hours are 7:30am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 7:30am to 3pm at weekends and on Bank Holidays .
The MTCC team are here to support and inform patients and relatives about their injuries and planned treatment. Liaise across specialities for coordination of care. Instigate and lead the repatriation process when patients need transferring back to their local hospital, ensuring all relevant follow up is planned and communicated to staff and the patient.
Our service is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our patient group and uses the patient and carers standards for communication outlined in the BOAST 15 guidance to create a core structure for our service delivery.
