Royal Cornwall Hospital
The Royal Cornwall Hospital can be found on the A390 on the outskirts of Truro, next to the Treliske retail park and close to Truro College and Leisure Centre at Gloweth. The hospital is well signposted on the approaches to Truro from the Redruth, Falmouth and St Austell directions.
Renal services for Cornwall are based at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro (also known as Treliske Hospital).
Renal patients are looked after by our multidisciplinary team including the team of four nephrology consultants (see below).
We run a dedicated renal transplant follow up clinic and patients usually return from Derriford Hospital around 3 months post transplantation. Further follow up then continues here in Truro through the weekly transplant clinic that is supported by a transplant specialist nurse. There is continued close liaison with transplant specialists at Plymouth. We currently look after approximately 200 transplant recipients.

Royal Devon and Exeter Foundation Trust
The Kidney Unit at the Royal Devon and Exeter Foundation Trust provides renal services for a large population across Exeter, North Devon, Torbay and much of Somerset. As a close-knit, multi-disciplinary team we aim to provide holistic, evidence based care and information to renal patients and their families.
We treat patients with acute (usually reversible) kidney failure, chronic (usually irreversible) kidney failure and patients who require haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis as well as patients with a kidney transplant.
The Renal Service comprises a comprehensive outpatient clinic service, a 26 bed inpatient and emergency dialysis area, day case service, renal bloods service, renal anaemia service, haemodialysis unit and satellite haemodialysis units at South Molton, Newton Abbot, Honiton, Heavitree, Taunton and Yeovil.
