As a Disability Confident Leader we take pride in fostering an inclusive environment for those working for us, but also in support of those seeking a role within our Trust. Our Trust is home to several Staff Network Groups that promote workplace diversity that offer a supportive space for colleagues to share experience and drive positive change through the organisation.

Before you apply...

What is the salary for the role?

The salary for each individual position will be shown on the advert. You can refer to the NHS Employers website for more information on this. Go to NHS Employers Pay, pensions and reward page

Is it the right role for you?

We advise you carefully review the job advert and person specification - this can be found on the hyperlink, around halfway down the page on NHS Jobs, and at the bottom of the page on Health Jobs. When looking at the role, a key factor in recognising if this position is right for you or not is the essential criteria within the person specification. If you are worried you don’t hit all the necessary criteria, we encourage you to contact the manager of the role directly to see if you would be suitable before applying. More information on this can be found below.

I have a CV, can I use that?

At UHP, we do not accept CV’s. You will need to use the application form via the advert to apply - this is to ensure that we have all the correct information to assess your suitability for the role. If you do not have access to a device, you can request an offline application by emailing the General Recruitment team on plh-tr.recruitment-team@nhs.net

Am I ready to work within the NHS?

Regardless of your specific role within the NHS, whether you are a doctor, nurse, administrator, or part of any other team, patient care will always remain at the heart of everything you do. Every task, decision, and interaction will be driven by the commitment to ensure the well-being and safety of patients, putting their needs and comfort first in all circumstances. The NHS is built upon a foundation of compassionate care, and every individual, regardless of their position, plays a crucial role in delivering the highest standard of service to those who depend on it most.

Do you offer flexible working?

We recognise that work life balance is important for our colleagues and so we invite requests from applicants around less than full time/flexible working for our advertised roles. Please contact the recruiting manager to discuss this prior to your application submission. We commit to giving this full consideration in each case. We encourage people from diverse backgrounds to apply for our roles, as diversity strengthens our teams.
