Our Health Care Assistants (HCA) provide patient care right across our services. They support nurses, doctors, and health professionals.
Our healthcare assistants work in our inpatient ward areas the most. They also work in our departments and clinics and provide vital support.
Some healthcare assistants work in specific areas such as discharge planning or our Emergency Department. Helping the flow of patients into the right place for the right care. Others develop specific clinical skills allowing them to do some supervised clinical procedures.
Our HCA staff are a valued group of people that are essential in providing care to our patients.
