Injuries to your head

You have had a minor injury to your head and have been checked out at hospital.

Whilst you are okay to go home we would like someone to be with you for the next two days.

In the unlikely event that you start to feel unwell we would like you to follow this advice:

1. Keep a phone nearby so you can call for help if needed

2. Have plenty of rest and try not to get stressed

3. Take painkillers such as paracetamol that will help with headaches

4. Tell people that you have had a minor head injury and show them this leaflet

5. Don’t drink any alcohol until you feel better

6. Don’t return to work or drive a car until you feel better

7. Don’t play any sports where you could bump your head e.g. rugby for at least three weeks
