  • Shuffle your bottom forwards to the edge of the bed/chair and tuck your feet underneath, with your heels flat on the floor.

  • Lean forwards (nose over toes), some people find it helpful to rock a few times for momentum.

  • Push up from the edge of the bed/chair. Look ahead and stand up. Once you are standing, you can now hold onto your frame or walking aid if you have one.

  • DO NOT hold your frame to stand up, it will fall back on you.
