We assess and treat patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions affecting the Hand and Wrist including Sports injuries and Degenerative conditions.

We support the Peninsula Major Trauma Centre undertaking both acute and delayed post-traumatic reconstructive procedures in patients with complex wrist and forearm trauma.

We provide a patient-centred service, with one-stop clinics, day-case surgery, fast-track options for carpal tunnel and trigger finger, minimally invasive procedures and community based clinics and operating lists.  We teach medical students and train the hand surgeons of the future.  We have developed efficient and user-friendly patient pathways.

We are involved in national clinical trials on Dupuytrens contracture, wrist fractures, carpal tunnel syndrome and scaphoid injuries. We participate in national hand surgery audit.
