We are based at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, sandwiched between beautiful Dartmoor and the South Devon coast and are part of the Healthcare Science and Technologies Direcorate.

The Healthy Bones Service provides bone density (DEXA) scans for patients across the region referred to us by their own GP or a hospital consultant.

Thanks to a grant from the National Osteoporosis Society in 2008 we have been able to develop and improve the service we offer our patients and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall officially launched our mobile scanning service.
