We have a mobile unit situated in the Millpool car park in Looe, screening women aged between 50 and 71 registered at Old Bridge Surgery, until May 2025. Between May and August 2025 the mobile unit will be situated in the Co-Op car park in Launceston, screening those registered at Launceston Medical Centre and Lifton Surgery.
We have a brand new state of the art Breast Imaging Unit, located in The Merchant building on Notte Street, Plymouth, PL1 2AG, screening women aged between 50 and 71. Those registered at Lisson Grove Medical Centre, Mannamead Surgery, Peverell Park Surgery and Devonport Health Centre are being invited currently. From May 2025, women registered at Armada Surgery and North Road West Surgery will begin to be invited.
You can search Breast Imaging The Merchant on Google which will show you on Google maps where we are.
Anyone registered with a GP as female will be invited for NHS breast screening every 3 years between the ages of 50 and 71. You'll get a letter in the post inviting you.
If you're a trans man, trans woman or are non-binary, you may be invited automatically, or you may need to talk to your GP surgery or call the local breast screening service to ask for an appointment.
