Sue Clemow

Hello my name is Sue, Matron for the Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU), Wolf Ward and Stonehouse Ward. I also oversee the Stoma Team, Bariatric Service, Colorectal Cancer Nurse Specialists, and the Emergency Laparotomy Nurse (NELA). I have worked in the NHS since 2000, and joined the trust in 2013.

Being in hospital is a daunting experience and as a team we strive to ensure a patient’s experience is as positive as it can be during these difficult times. I am passionate about ensuring our patients and their family members receive good quality care and communication during their inpatient stays.

I would always encourage patients and their families to share their experiences with us as this can help drive improvements that may need to be made, as well as positive feedback which has a valuable impact on staff morale.

Please do tell my ward teams about your experience. We welcome comments, compliments and constructive feedback to ensure we are improving the services for our patients, and letting our teams know when they have done a great job!
