A warm welcome awaits you at Derriford Centre for Health and Wellbeing (DCHW)
DCHW is your friendly local Leisure Centre, home to a gym, virtual studio, group exercise studio, squash and badminton courts as well as The Lounge cafe. Our gym has a wide range of Matrix cardio and resistance equipment, as well as a dedicated free weights area and functional zone. Our qualified gym instructors will give you a full induction and, if desired, assist you with bespoke workout programmes designed to help you reach your fitness goals.
With over 20 group exercise classes a week, from Body Pump to Pilates, and Circuits to Body Combat, no matter what your goal, level of fitness or exercise preference we have plenty to offer you. We even have a dedicated bookable Virtual Studio where you can select the Les Mills class you want to do and join along on screen.
We also have a squash/racketball court, and two badminton/pickleball courts that are available to book.
And after your workout you can relax in comfort in The Lounge, with a freshly brewed cappuccino and well-earned snack. The Lounge is open from 8am to 7pm, Monday to Friday.
Where is DCHW?
We are situated behind the main Derriford hospital building. Please go down the left hand side of the Derriford Hospital grounds, past ED, and you'll find us just next to Car Park C. Look out for our bright green atrium entrance!
