Before your procedure

Before your procedure you will receive a letter in the post from the endoscopy department.

If you do not receive a letter from the endoscopy department at least 3 days before your procedure, please call us on 01752 438407.

Depending on the procedure you may be required to change your diet and alter certain medicines. Information about the types of medicines we may need you to stop or change will be on your letter.

Please contact us in advance your procedure to inform us if you are taking any of the medications listed on your letter or the pre-existing medical conditions page.

We will let you know if you need to stop or change your medication. Please do not stop or change your medication unless your GP or a member of staff from the endoscopy department asks you to.
