Media Enquiries

The Communications and Engagement Team is responsible for corporate communications and managing media relations on behalf of University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. All media enquiries will be evaluated by the Communications and Engagement Team and dealt with appropriately. This is important to ensure that information given about University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is accurate and up-to-date.

Staff and Patient Interviews

All requests for interviewing, to take a photograph of, or to film patients or staff must be made through the Communications and Engagement Team. We would appreciate as much notice as possible for these requests.

Condition Checks

All patient condition checks must be made via the Communications and Engagement Team. Please do not contact the wards direct. We respect patient confidentiality at all times. Patient details will only be released if you have the correct spelling of the full name and only if the patient or next of kin gives consent to information being released. Only a brief description of the progress of the patient will be given, such as the patient is stable or comfortable or critically ill.
