Free anxiety, stress and low mood workshops for Plymouth businesses
Plymouth Options is relaunching it’s free workshops to local businesses, schools, and healthcare providers to help give an insight into common mental health difficulties and provide some useful tips and tools to help prevent, alleviate and manage them.
Plymouth Options is provided by Livewell Southwest, the social enterprise delivering NHS mental health services for children and adults in Plymouth.
The workshops are free and last around one hour. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, the workshops will be delivering via Microsoft Teams and Options will work with you to fit these into your teams’ schedule.
You can chose from:
Managing Anxiety: This one hour workshop provides information on the psychological and physical symptoms of anxiety, and strategies to manage this including breathing, goal setting and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).
Managing Stress: Stress can be a useful part of everyday life but sometimes it can lead to a feeling of being overwhelmed and exhausted, causing difficulties at work or at home. This one hour workshop introduces the symptoms of stress and how the body responds, and provides simple strategies to manage this.
Managing Low mood: This workshop provides information on the psychological symptoms of low mood as well as giving strategies to manage this including behavioural activation (a psychological model of behaviour change) and identifying and challenging unhelpful thoughts by using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
If you think your colleagues could benefit from these workshops and you’d like to find out more or sign up, please call Plymouth Options on 01752 435419 or email Plymouthoptions@nhs.net and someone from the team will support you with registering for the workshop and finding a suitable time that works for you,
Don’t suffer in silence, we’re here for you.
