Fashion show for Forever Fred

alt alt alt The Forever Fred team have raised a fantastic £1,510 for the Snowdrop Appeal by hosting a successful prom and evening wear fashion show last month.

Forever Fred was set up by Joanne and Colin Smith, in memory of their son, Fred Neal Smith, who was sadly born too soon on 29 July 2017.

Joanne and Colin have hosted several fundraising events to support the improvements and development of the Snowdrop Room at Derriford Hospital, which gives parents and families the chance to spend precious moments with their child following neonatal baby loss, still birth and miscarriage.

The fashion show was attended by 250 people and saw over 70 models walking down the catwalk in a selection of stunning dresses, suits and kilts. There was also a selection of stalls showcasing jewellery, skincare and make up.

The evening raised £1,510 through ticket sales, raffle purchases and the auction of one of the dresses.

“Everybody looked absolutely fabulous”, said Joanne. “Myself, Colin and Fred’s team of helpers are so overwhelmed by the amount of support we have received. It’s really touched our hearts.”

“We are already underway planning our Forever Fred Christmas Fayre. We will have our very own Father Christmas and one of his elves waiting to see everyone. There will be over 40 stalls showcasing some amazing crafts.

“We would love to see as many people as possible coming along to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere and enjoy a nice coffee and piece of homemade cake.”

The Forever Fred Christmas Fair is taking place on Friday 08 December, 10:00 – 16:00 at Pensilva Millennium Centre, Liskeard. More information can be found on the Forever Fred Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/BabyFredSmith
