The Critical Care Unit at Derriford Hospital has received a generous donation of £3,500 from Plymouth True Blues, a Rangers supporters club.

The Primrose Foundation, a registered charity based at Derriford Hospital, has joined forces with Bobtails Nursery to offer a lifeline to children, whose parents have been touched by breast cancer. A new support group is being launched to help children of all ages understand they aren’t alone and will give them an opportunity to play and interact with other children who are going through the same experience.

Parents of premature and sick newborn babies being cared for in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Derriford Hospital will now receive extra support, through the use of a new video messaging app.

The Trauma, Orthopaedic and Rheumatology departments at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust would like to say a big thank you to the League of Friends for their kind donation of a CoaguChek machine. The machine will ultimately assist in quicker treatment and patients being able to go home sooner.

A thoughtful donation has been received by our maternity department, to help parents who suffer the loss of a baby. Amber and Josh Goddard fundraised to purchase a Flexmort CuddleClot, which they have kindly gifted to Derriford Hospital in memory of their baby son, Mylo.
