Eden Day Case Unit
We have a specially designed unit with eight chairs where patients with immune-deficiencies can undergo immunoglobulin replacement therapy in comfort. We offer both intravenous and subcutaneous therapy and support many patients to learn to give their own treatments at home. We provide an accredited training programme for patients learning to manage their own immunoglobulin treatments. Sometimes infusions can be organised at satellite sites closer to patients' homes.
We also offer a service for neurological patients receiving immunoglobulin therapy.
The Day Case Unit provides a comfortable space for patients undertaking food and drug challenge testing and for patients undertaking allergy immunotherapy programmes. This includes bee and wasp desensitisation or the initiation of sublingual aeroallergen immunotherapy. Patients are invited to the Unit for escalated treatments for urticaria and angioedema.
