Local patients (Plymouth area)

You would normally have been referred in to the hospital by your GP. Following investigation your case will be referred on to our team. We hold weekly team meetings on a Friday morning to discuss all new referrals and decide on a treatment plan. We would normally then send an appointment to see us in the outpatient clinic.

Once you have been informed that you have a cancer we would normally try to commence treatment as soon as possible, whether this be with surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy. National targets suggest this treatment should start within 31 days, from decision to treat but we often do this much sooner.
