Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) Plymouth

The Urgent Treatment Centre at the Cumberland Centre Plymouth is open every day to treat you if you have an injury which is not life-threatening, but still requires urgent treatment.

Our team of nurse practitioners have undertaken specialist training and are able to assess, diagnose and treat patients of all ages.

You do not need to pre-book an appointment, just drop-in to the centre during our opening times. On-site parking is free. 

Opening times

  • 8am to 8pm, 7 days per week.
  • X-ray available: 9am to 8pm, 7 days per week

Problems that can be treated

Examples of the problems we can see you for:

  • Cuts - we can use glue, steristrips (paper stitches) or sutures to close wounds
  • Small burns or scalds
  • Bites and stings
  • Sprains and certain fractures (upper and lower limbs)
  • Minor head injuries
  • Infected wounds
  • Foreign bodies in eyes
