Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC), Dartmoor Building (Derriford)

The Urgent Treatment Centre at Derriford Hospital is in the Dartmoor building. It is open every day to treat you if you have an injury which is not life-threatening, but still requires urgent treatment.

Our team of nurse practitioners have undertaken specialist training and are able to assess, diagnose and treat patients of all ages.

You do not need to pre-book an appointment, just drop-in to the centre during our opening times. 

Opening times

  • 8am to 8pm, 7 days per week.

  • X-ray available: 8am to 8pm, 7 days per week

Problems that can be treated

Examples of the problems we can see you for:

  • Limb fractures

  • Minor illness

  • Sprains and strains

  • Minor head injuries

  • Minor scalds and burns

  • Bites and stings

  • Foreign body in eyes

  • Infected wounds

  • Cuts

The Dartmoor building is located opposite the multi-storey car park, Costa and Boots pharmacy. Patients and visitor parking is in the multi-storey car park. There are 14 drop off and 2 disabled parking spaces outside of Dartmoor, each with a 30 minute wait time.
