There are multiple sites across Plymouth, Tavistock and Kingsbridge in which you can receive musculoskeletal Physiotherapy treatment. Below is information about all of the sites including directions from the A38, bus routes, contact details and parking facilities.

Site Information
The Plymstock Physiotherapy Department is situated in a Livewell building. It is a small community clinic made up of a team of two Physiotherapists. The clinic in addition supports the needs of the Community Therapy Teams. These include Podiatry, Speech and Language, Community Midwives and Health Visitor Teams.
Upon Arrival
Upon arrival to Plymstock clinic you will see clear signs for physiotherapy. The waiting area is small and we share the waiting area with Podiatry. The seats are socially distanced; however, if you don’t feel comfortable please access the main reception until your appointment time or stay in your vehicle. In the waiting area please knock on the physiotherapy door so that we know you have arrived and waiting to be seen. At your appointment time a member of the Physiotherapy team will collect you and direct you into the room to carry out your assessment.

Heading from Plymouth on the A379
- Head across Laira Bridge towards The Ride
- At the roundabout Take the third exit onto Pomplett Road
- At the next roundabout take the second exit and stay on Pomplett road
- At the junction continue straight onto Horn cross Road
- At the roundabout take the second exit
- Destination is 100 metres on your right side
Parking
The clinic has access to free parking spaces at the rear of the building. Should there be no spaces available, you will find further car parking at the Broadway.

Site Information
The Physiotherapy Department is situated within the Cumberland Centre, which is home to a number of community health and social care services, as well as an Urgent Treatment Centre.
Upon Arrival
Entrance to the Cumberland Centre is currently managed via an intercom at the main entrance. The reception team will screen for covid symptoms prior to allowing members of the public into the building. You will then be directed to the Physiotherapy Department, which is clearly signposted.
Please knock on the door of the Physiotherapy Department and take a seat in the waiting area outside. Your physiotherapist will let you in at your appointment time. .
When leaving the Cumberland Centre please follow the signs to the exit door.

Parking
The Cumberland Centre has a free car park. This can become busy at times. If the car park is full there is some street parking on Madden Road near the Brickfields Sports Centre.

**URGENT FOR THOSE ATTENDING PHYSIOTHERAPY AT CUMBERLAND CLINIC**
Currently, due to critical building works being undertaken at the Cumberland Centre, the Outpatient Physiotherapy Department is temporarily accommodated at Plymouth Albion Rugby Club.

We have a very limited waiting area in the temporary treatment centre. Please try to arrive no more than five minutes before your appointment time.

Parking
A small number of free parking spaces have been allocated for patients. These are adjacent the rugby pitch (as seen in the below image), and are close the building accommodating the treatment centre. The treatment centre is accessible via ramps.

Site Information
The Plympton Physiotherapy Department is situated within the GP practice at Plympton Health Centre. It has its own entrance at rear of the building just behind “Boots the pharmacy” through entering the underground car park. It is well sign posted from outside of the building. There are usually 3 physiotherapists working from this site although at times, this may vary. Physiotherapists work appointment only basis. Consultations may be by telephone, Video link, or in person. This will be discussed with you.
Initial Appointments are made through main Physiotherapy Department at Derriford upon completion of self referral or being referred by health care professional. Subsequent appointments will be discussed and made with Physiotherapist at end of initial consultation.
Upon Arrival
Please wait either in waiting room or just outside department. You will be required to complete COVID screening questionnaire prior to entering department.

Directions from A38 (heading west):
From A38/ Devon Expressway heading west toward Plymouth take B3416 toward Plympton.
Turn left onto the Ridgeway.
At roundabout turn left onto Mudge way
The Health Centre car park will be on your left.
Directions from A38 (heading east):
From A38/ Devon Expressway heading east, at Marsh mills roundabout take B3416 Plymouth Road toward Plympton.
Turn right onto Mudge way at mini roundabout.
The Health Centre car park will be on your right.

The Ivybridge Physiotherapy Department is situated within the GP practice at Ivybridge health centre. It is a small clinic currently made up of a team of two physiotherapists.
Upon Arrival
Upon arrival to Ivybridge Health Centre currently due to COVID-19 you will need to buzz for entry at the main entrance. Once answered a member of the GP reception team will ask a couple of questions to ensure you are safe to attend your appointment. Then you will be shown to a seated waiting room prior to your appointment. At your appointment time a member of the physiotherapy team will collect you and direct you to an assessment room to carry out your assessment. When exiting from your appointment there are signs directing you to the correct exit route, which will take you around the back of the building.
Directions from A38
- From the A38/Devon expressway heading towards Exeter take exit B3213 towards Ivybridge.
- Take the 3rd exit at the following roundabout onto Western Road.
- Continue and at the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Majorie Kelly Way.
- Continue on this road until you reach the roundabout at the Trehill arms pub; take the first exit onto Fore Street.
- Turn right onto Erme road and continue forwards until you reach station road, Ivybridge health centre will be on your left.
Parking
There are free parking spaces for patients directly outside Ivybridge Health cCntre. Should there be no available spaces upon arrival there is also free parking spaces along Station road.

Site Information
Tavistock Physiotherapy Outpatient’s Department is located on the ground floor of Tavistock Hospital. All patients must enter the Hospital from the main entrance, where the reception staff will complete a COVID screen for you and then direct you along the left hand corridor and down the stairs into our department. There is a lift available also.
Upon Arrival
Once on the ground floor, follow the yellow line on the floor to the department. Please let our administrator know you are here and they will confirm your arrival on our diary system. The yellow line will continue to lead to our waiting room where you can take a seat and your physiotherapist will call you through at your appointment time. Occasionally staff lunches may run in unison and the department may be closed, in this instance please wait at the entrance to the department and the staff will register you on return from their break.

Parking
We do have two allocated spaces within the hospital car park; however these are often in use on busy days. If you are unable to find parking on site, we recommend trying the residential street opposite the hospital which provides on street parking.
Bus Routes
The major bus routes all come into the Tavistock Bus Station which is located just a short (10minute) walk from the Hospital, although this does involve some fairly steep hills. If you have mobility difficulties, the Service 89 Bus stops opposite the hospital and runs on an hourly basis.
