Our Wards and Outpatients

Wards:

Patients under the care of the Oesophago-Gastric Surgeons will usually be cared for on the following wards:

  • Crownhill
  • Wolf
  • Stonehouse
  • Hound (SAU)
  • Erme / Fal (Pre-assessment and Admissions)
  • Postbridge (Recovery ward)
  • Penrose / Pencarrow (ICU)

 

Patients undergoing cancer surgery or bariatric surgery under the care of the Oesophago-Gastric team will usually be cared for on Crownhill ward (Zone C - Green Zone, Level 7). Whilst general surgical and emergency admissions will be cared for on Wolf, Stonehouse or Hound (Zone B - Pink Zone, Level 7). Level 7 map.

On the day of surgery you will be admitted through Fal ward (Level 4), and day case patients will normally recover on Postbridge ward before they go home (also on level 4).

Outpatients:

If you're seeing a member of the team in clinic this will usually be in the Outpatient Department on Level 6 close to the main entrance.Visit the 'Your Outpatient appointment' page for more information about what to bring with you and what to do on arrival.

Patients that are referred for endoscopy can refer to the Endoscopu Unit page unit page for further information and how to contact them.
